Artist's Comments

The original for this looks better, but.... ;;; Gosh, it's really hard to get painted things to look right. D:

For my Wet Media class this semester. Original characters from a story I'm working on, Who Killed Cock Robin. Acrylics on illustration board, about 10"x13"

I love the colors in this, how the green/blue work together so well. It makes the orange pop.

I bet this is impressive in person.

I love the thick paint; especially the work on his gloves and the ring. Good job.

This is really really cool. I love the colours and the darkness of the background looks awesome against the bright foreground. Very sinister.

Thank you! I've always been really stingy with paints before, so I'm working on building it up.

Thank you~ I'm just getting into acrylic painting, so I'm very flattered to have someone with such an amazing traditional art gallery commenting on my work. :3

Sankyu~ I find that it's really helpful to limit my color palette and then bring in a different color to create focus in a specific area. Also, I'm so bad at mixing colors, that the less colors for me to mess with, the better. |D

Hooollllyyy CARP! Amazing, I love the grimy flavor of the outside, but the brilliantly lit table of sterility outshines all. Plus the costumes and creatures are out of this world... Perhaps quite literally!

Papa Top Hat: "THAT... is on my finger, ewwww!"

Kid Masquerade: "Yup... Don't touch me!"

Masks are guises for mystery and surprises, but the eyes were made in these disguises, for you to see the faces of every person you deceive, and to know them, but to know they'll never know you however naive.
